i'm making a game!




hello! I'm going to be making a game for the Blossom VN Jam 2023! It's a month and a half long, and the theme is Spring. The final game will be uploaded to itch.io in mid May. While I work on it, I'll post bits about the process here, so that you can watch me try to make a game without a clue as to what I'm doing! I think it's going to be fun, though! 

I'm not going to show everything, though, because I want the game to still be entertaining, even if you've been watching the process. If you want to enter the jam as well, click here! 

I hope you enjoy watching me attempt at making a game... 

It will mean, unfortunately, that it's likely I'm going to be less active on YouTube and Spark, but I'll be posting here more.

 Hi! My game is done. And I never gave anyone here updates. Well, to be fair. No one IS here. I checked. But if someone does come here, hi! How are you doing? Anyway, I did finish that game! "In The Rain" It's a short and cute VN that I 100% did not make most of in the last week. The art is simple with thick lines because I'm lazy  because I didn't have a lot of time to make it. My first official day in a game jam!

  So, since today was the first technical day of the jam, I decided to make a post about it! I did work on some of the art before today, but starting work on the game before the jam officially starts is fine, according to the rules, and I figured I'd need as much time as possible. i was right. I currently have the first background, some character sprite variations for Anne (one of the two main characters), and some "expressions". I decided today would be a good day to start working on the code, making sure the art fits together right in Ren'Py, etc.  I forgot how much I hate coding. I'm using Ren'Py to make it, because the game is a VN, and Ren'Py is what I've used before. (I've used Ren'Py before after playing DDLC so I'm familiar with it, but I've never made a game or anything. And it's certainly been awhile since I worked with it.)
